Because I my gaming arcade needs a very strong circulation path to get down to the other areas of our collaborative design i decided to start with designing that first then add the next layer of spaces. So here are some pictures a very rough concept model of how I will go about changing my original design and also of a very very rough kind of circulation plan.

While I Think of It...
While I am blogging about ideas and inspiration for the adaptation of my design I figure I should probably write something about where the idea for the original design came from (See Above).
As I am designing a gaming arcade, I figured maybe I should play some video games to get some inspiration (or so I told myself to make it seem like I was doing something constructive, seems plausible right?). So Madden 10 was the game of choice, after many hours of play early one morning (much to my surprise) the game actually gave me an idea which I could possibly use (See Below).
Yes the original design was based on an american football play called the corner strike (In the Baltimore Ravens playbook for those interested).
However after the original idea of different paths, routes or flows came from Madden 10 I actually did some proper precedent research and found Zaha Hadid's contemporary arts building in Rome (See Below) which had a similar design concept with intersecting lines which helped in the final form I have now.
Re-Interpreting My Design
For this next part of my designs life it will need to become far more vertical, which at the moment it is not. Basically I'm going to have to take away most of my original design and just be left with the main concept of separate pathways and flows through my building. So I'm doing some more precedent research on ideas and buildings that will help to inspire a more vertical way of thinking.
I like the idea of climber vines as a metaphor for the whole "parasite" scheme. At this stage I am toying with the idea of "unraveling" my design and making it spiral around a central access point.
Very Rough Model
Finally....
